Rhetoric & Writing Studies
E-Portfolio
Honestly, I had never really written any papers prior to attending UTEP that exceeded two or three pages. However, I was able to complete the major assignments like the literacy narrative, the discourse ethnography, the rhetorical analysis and the researched argument that were assigned in my RWS 1301 class. These four major assignments in the class proved to be quite a challenge. At times I failed on some of the criteria, but I have no doubt I also succeeded in meeting the criteria for each assignment. My first two assignments, the literacy narrative and the discourse ethnography have been edited quite a bit because of many minor errors as well as citation errors. I have learned that I am an effective free-writer but I can also follow a strict outline of the essay. I can use this in the future. In this e-portfolio I will be reflecting on each assignment that we have done in my RWS 1301 class as well as reflecting on the readings we have read throughout the semester. We researched, we scrutinized and we evaluated. This class essentially has prepared us for future writings we will engage in as we progress throughout our years at the University. With that being said, I want to strive for another excellent second semester in my current RWS 1302 class.
