Literacy Narrative Reflection

The literacy narrative was the easiest assignment of the semester for me.
In truth, I enjoyed writing about how I grew up reading and writing in a Mexican
family. It gave me a chance to reflect on my life's education and how I came to be
attending the University of Texas at El Paso. This paper, I am not going to lie, did
have many errors. I learned that I tend to keep writing in my sentences making
them go into run-off sentences, and that is something that I kept seeing
throughout all of the semester assignments although I did fix that in the end. At
the beginning, my citations were terrible. Like I said, prior to attending UTEP I
had never really written any papers that exceeded more than two or three pages
so of course I did not know anything on citing until I went to the University
Writing Center where I was given helpful sheets on citing. Overall I enjoyed the assignment. I have to say, those sheets are extremely helpful. I did get my paper revised by the University Writing Center, which indeed I did not mention to Professor Bossie. That's actually where I found out I had a problem with run-off sentences. Although I had numerous errors, I do believe that I succeeded in meeting the criteria for this assignment.
